Hi there,

My 08 SDR was visiting our local dynoman yesterday. Have to say, I was expecting a bit more but guy said there has been only one sdr in his shop with just a little more peak power. Anyway he was very pleased with the chart and so am I based on just very short ride back home. Silky smooth yet crisp.

Setup is 08 SDR with motohooligan airbox and secondary flies, SAS removed, O2 sensors removed. If someone wants my PCIII map, which is advanced map btw. give me a shout.

Not bad dude! Nice linear torque curve.

Now load this map in to tuneecu, import in your ecu, get rid of the pcIII and play with the ignition advance curve or use otto leirer advance curve and you should get a few more ponies!

if you want help how to do this ask me, MrZ32, klinck, Bert, etc......

if you e-mail me the PCIII map I will import it and adjust the ignition for you so you just have to upload it with Tuneecu.

A few members will be interested in your map so mail it to klinck or bert to add it to the download section.
guy you beat me to it... just remember if its an advanced map to swap the cylinders around... so front is two and rear is one.

that with ottos ignition advance would work well (it is such a mild advance it is not something to worry about) but it adds a little bit more punch... people have tried the one that shade had done with ottos ignition and it worked rather well.
Those are some decent numbers man.

I'm getting my bike tuned today, I'll be happy if I get those numbers.

KTMGuy, your tuneecu offer to Wille sounds Great! My problem would be that I would have to run out and buy a labtop just for this purpose. Or thinking, maybe I can find one to borrow for a bit?

oops its an sdr... my normal sd has put out more than that
yes, i got higher torque on my standard SD too, but you cannot compare Finland/Canada/Australia... fuel is very different, not to mention different dynos read very differently. all that matters is you got good A/F and bikes feels smooth and powerful. look at dyno as a tunning tool only, it allows the tunner to set the A/F for best performance. the numbers are almost arbitrary, all they tell you is the result of the mods you made (provided you have a before and after reading, and bike was properly mapped in both runs...haha)

if you're happy with the way the bike runs, don't change anything, just enjoy it, go ride the b1tch!
I would never complain about those numbers if you are just using the old PC3 route.
Decent HP and damn near 100 pounds of torque!
I think I have posted here that my stock SD made 106 and 67 bone stock during it's dyno break in. I put on the MH air box and Leos plus PC3 and only saw less than 1hp and slight torque increase. With both race gas and pump fuel.
Huge difference in the feel of the bike, plus the killer MH box noise!!!!
At the beginning of the year I reinstalled the stock air box with BMC filter and had my maps rewritten. 107hp and 69 lbs of torque.
I have seen these hp numbers all over the place here and wonder what makes them so drastically different?
Do other bikes have such power discrepancies?

TuneECU is no doubt the ticket.
If I buy my totaled bike from the insurance company, I will be dicking around with the motor to see what improvements can be made. I don't remember seeing anyone here that has stripped down an LC8 from a SD and really worked the numbers for internal, top and bottom end changes.

The ability to change the ignition is huge!
A mechanic who works for my tuner got just over 30 hp from his stock Ninja 250 by tweaking the ignition and checking it with dyno runs.
(Why? There is a huge contingent of Ninja 250 racers in our club).
Sounds like there's some thing wrong with your bike bro? 1 HP increase is not right.
I'm not buying this chart. This dyno is claiming 124 bhp and 94 N-m, or 70 ft-lbs or torque. When using hp and lb-ft, the two curves always intersect at 5200 rpm. Plus, show me a motor making 60 hp at 2000 rpm and I'll show you a T/A dragster. Not saying anyone is intentionally putting up bogus numbers, but I'm not buying this one.
