Nice work.

Those Akra rounds look hot on the SDR
So i picked up my New SDR 10mdl the other day, what a fun bike, roads i really never liked on my racerboy bike i loved on my SDR, im not reall happy with the seat or fueling ATM or the sound the standard mufflers allow to be emitted, but all these things will be getting attended to very soon.

other wise i was very happy with the brakes and quality suspension, the way the bike handles is amazing, i am very happy with it.

Cant wait to get some more kms on the thing and start hitting my back roads when the sun finaly shows its head.
Sounds pretty much how I felt when I picked mine up. Now with new pipes and a TuneECU flash job on it, the sounds and fueling are much better. I still want the motohooligan airbox etc to be 100% happy with the fueling.

The only reason I did not like the seat was that it was causing me to get kevlar burn from my draggin jeans. A pair of Skins shorts under the jeans solved this problem.

All I can say is just wait until you get some decent pipes on there .
that seat is painfull in any straight riding situation, once i hit the hills and started hanging off i was fine, Yeah cant wait to get the pipes, have to sort a few bills before i can fork out the cash for the Akros.
Yeah the sounds is huge, i ride my mates SD with akros and love it.
Yeah it is not a touring seat. 5 mins in a straight line and you feel it, but 10 seconds into the twisties and the pain is gone. Corners must be a miracle drug.

i sprung an oil leak from the oil level gauge, getting parts ordered and sorted, bloody copper washers
Congrats on your fine purchase sir

If you think she handles nicely now id just have a quick check over of the suspension settings, KTM and thier dealers have been known to send them out the showroom with mismatched settings on each fork leg and niggly bits like that
Congratulations. You don't miss Ohlins, and thats just on the standard SD. I've ridden an Ohlins equipped bike and the WP bits are just as good. Maybe an expert rider would be able to differentiate, but I'd gamble it would be minimal.
Looking forward to some pics pls Browser. Of you can afford it then do get the gel seat. It's still not the best but is surely better than the building block that's fitted as standard. Happy riding.

yeah i was going to get the gel seat but decided not to get it after most of the people i talked to who own them said not to bother, im getting used to the rock anyway, as for ohlins i have had them on my road bike (04mdl ZX10R) and have them in my race bike (05mdl ZX10R) and they are a huge difference over standard, but i must say i am extremely happy with the WP stuff fitted, i will check the settings when i get home and make sure they are all correct.
