hi fellas , just fitted a pair of maxxis supermax supersport tyres to my superduke after running off a pair of pirelli diablos which lasted a very short expensive life. i am happy to say these maxxis jobs are brilliant , did the sensible scrubbing off warmed them up and to be honest ive nailed the bike through the yorkshire dales twisties and reallly hammered it like ive never before and it has gripped gripped gripped , £160 fitted ! i had these on my previous cb 1000r naked bike and they were faultless then so i thought why not on me sduke. you have got to try these at the price seen em on ebay for £150 delivered. always had this comfort thing of having to have pirellis on but i have finally let go and have full confidence it these .

#2I was Thinking of trying them myself the price seems good, after my Metzler k3 look shagged after 700 miles not good.
Also thinking of trying BT016 PRO the write ups are good and they reckon you may get around 3000 miles out of a rear.
Keep us posted on how you get on with rear wear.

#4I'm also using these and i agree they are very good tyres, i've had them on previous bikes too. i got mine off ebay £150 delivered, and paid Mark at m&m in stamford £6 per wheel fitted balanced and old tyres disposed of
one thing i found is that they're very slippy before scrubbing in, i was spinning the wheel up my road when i set off on my scrub in run, i took it easy for the first ride but unfortunatley i slipped of on a roundabout, thank fook for R&G's! no damage to the bike. they're well scrubbed in now and have only little chicken rings on the back (like 5mm ish).

#7My place charged me £20 to fit 3 tyres to loose wheels a few weeks ago. They don't mind fitting rears backwards either.
Sometimes they don't bill and I give the guys in the workshops something, tenner per wheel usually.

#11But seriously the next nearest garage (Stamford Honda) want £20 per wheel! And as for putting hoops on backwards, you'd just get a look like you was mental ("but the tyre might unravel and fall off!"). sometimes i wonder if there are any bikers at all working in some of these bike garages.
but them maxxis supermax sport, are really good tyres, when i first got a set i had come from BT014's and at the time i said the maxxis performed just as well as the bridgestone, with many £££ saved, i've not really looked back since and whenever i change bikes, and the tyres they came with are done then i change them for maxxis.

#12I have just come from pirrelli diablo corsa III's and went through them in no time at all.
Just ordered up a pair of MAXXIS MA-3DS Supermaxx Diamond Sports Touring Tyre Pair - £169 for the pair and fitting them tomorrow.
Only been out since april apparently, decided on these babys as my SD is still pretty new to me and cant get enough of her so am ramping up the mileage and need a tyre thats going to last but still has the grip of a sport.
Will see how i get on.

#13In fast-bikes magazine they said the diamonds feel strange at first but once used to it they're great, even when pushing on track.
