New 690 duke

not sure i like it, lost the edgy look especially the headlight mask.
if i had the money i would have bought the last generation,love their big singles.

Now I like the new one more - but then I liked the first version

Got to see how it goes and if it still has enough tank range to let me keep smiling for 2 hours before filling up

My favorite was the first generation Duke. Hard to see what it looks like in the vid.

I imagine the unveiling will be at EICMA in about a week.

it looks like this, pretty freaking bland in my opinion! the last one may have been polarizing but it made a strong statement, this one is like a warm glass of milk...

Not to worry it's not coming here. But who knows, lose the plate/rear fender extension, full Ti pipe, high mount front fender, etc...

That new 690 looks SHYTE!!!!!...a step backwards IMO....old model was way nicer & more aggressive looking. I hope this is not the trend for the new upcoming SD....If so I'm gonna hold on tight to my '08 black beauty

what was wrong with the 210 duke r,I think the new one looks a bit honda, I had a test ride on the standard 690 and to tell the truth it was a hard choice what bike to buy between it and my superduke, the only thing that steered me towards the sd was I do more track miles than road miles, and before I get slated go and have a test ride on one on some proper twisty roads

Yeah it looks like the 125, hopefully they don't go down the same styling route with the new SD although it would not surprise.

i thought i was the 125 at first , will check it out on thursday at the NEC

It is the KTM 200 Duke that is in the first.

And New 2012 690 Duke has already been spoke about further down the page.
