Look at it this way. In a low speed low-side - it'll save you hundreds of (put your currency here) for new plastics/levers, equally if your wife knocks it over in the garage. In a high speed or bad get-off (like a highside or impact), it's not really an issue to have sliders/bungs, because you're going to incur much worse damage than crash bungs can prevent. I say get 'em, and just try not to use them. If you DON'T get them, then you're almost guaranteed going to need them. Murphy's Law and all. YMMV
