Hey I know there are a few threads about this but looking for a new lid I have a shoei xr1000 which drives me nuts with wind noise( a weird kind of whistling noise). So I want somethings that's light, quiet and safer the better. I'm looking at the hjc carbon helmet at the minute anyone have one? What are they like? Or there's a new schuberth helmet that claims to be the quietest on the market its the S1 I think any other helmets I should look be looking at. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
I have the HJC Carbon and it's a littler louder than the Scorpion helmet I have. The HJC flows air well, but with that comes some extra noise. The vision on the HJC is more open than the Scorpion though.

I have a Shuberth which they claim to be the quietist helmets you can buy. Made in Germany , good quality , and i believe the same company that makes the BMW system helmets.

Go for a Shark, one of the Hi-Tec range (RSR2, RSX, RSI), you'll be happy!
I own the HJC carbon ac-12. Nab this helmet for less than 300US on EBAY. I paid 289 with shipping. People are really impressed with the light weight. It is really effective to have the lightest possible lid with the stock windscreen on the SD.
