After a lot of playing around I found a very good way of mounting it. Its going back on tomorrow ready for NW200 so ill take a load of pictures and put them up tomorrow. Instead of just using the seat to secure it I used web loops on the subframe and cut small slots into the rear side panels (hidden away under the seat) to feed the web loops through, they can stay under the seat permanently and just hook on the quick release hooks when needed

#26Here's mine - went up to the Highlands with it last week - over 700 miles and no problems at all apart from the faffing about making sure its strapped up properly and stays tight. And undoing it to get the waterproofs out etc.
I found that threading the straps through the little nylon loops/luggage points on the underside of the seat helped keep it in place. Its a 20l and two 10l

#27Ok so i wasnt too happy with just strapping to the seat so i did this (if you but the us-30 you get all the straps including the quick release hooks) tried to get as many pics as i could
use these for the subfame:
get the dremmel out and cut a slot into the side panels feed the straps through:
Rear straps:
All securing loops fitted and can stay on permanently under the seat:
pop them out when you need them:
Use quick release straps:
Turn the SD into a luggage monster lol!!!!!
