hello all! I just got my SD a few months ago, and have been daily riding as my car is broken down for the time being. I love the duke and have already done a few mods to it, akro's, frame sliders, a tidy tail.. anyways I had a little off and some stuff got messed up... nothing bad just a lowspeed low side... cold tyres. But the bike is a 2006, and i live in america, it was not officially released here until 2007, which as im sure we all know is when KTM overhauled the whole bike. So the right side tank spoiler and headlight mask kinda took a beating, there fine aside from being scratched up a little, but when i went to KTM to buy a new mask and spoiler I was informed I wouldnt be able to get new ones as the bike is Euro and I live in GA... SO. U have pretty much settled on just taking a little bondo to the shroud and mask and have them repainted... I as also going to replace the hand brake lever as well since it was bent a little... When i saw the price of OEM though, I asked myself if I should just buy some aftermarket stuff, like a puig set or something? advice or recomendations appreciated. I have already replaced the R&G sliders, but what I still am left to do/think about is how to get a instrument cluster holder, the thing that sits inside the headlight mask, I cant get one in the us.. Im sure I could find one online, but if anyone has one on the forums that they would like to sell then PM me... the same applies to the foot brake lever, as they changed in 2007 as well... if anyone has a spare for sell again, PM me. So that just leaves me to decide on trying to get a shroud and mask from the internet or forum member, or just have it repainted custom... again advice or recomendations appreciated. Thanks everyone in advance, and im honored to be part of such a good forum. cheers

#2Ebay UK or Germany usually has those parts cropping up cheap. It's just a case of keepin an eye out, they usually hop on for 3 or 5 day auctions.
I've got a headlamp mask but it's been crashed too so wouldn't be any use to you.

#3dude who told you the brake lever was different? im pretty sure an 07 will fit that. the only things that were different were the engine management, front end geometry, nose fairing, instrument cluster, and fuel tank. i think someone on here recently found that the tank panels from the 07 will fit as well, do a search for that, cant recall where i read it but it was recent.

#4No the foot/rear brake lever changed. not the hand/front lever.

#5im sure a rear/foot lever from a later model Duke would work, but it wouldnt be the same... not positive but i think, just from looking at a 2007 and 2008 duke at the shop, that the rear set is more aggressive, and thus making the rear lever a little different in shape... again, did not do a direct comparison, but it looked different. Im sure it would still work however, the spring, and two bolts holding it on looked the same.

#6There is a company on ebay that sells parted out bike parts for all kinds of bikes .I have seen almost everything for dukes I think they buy wrecked bikes and part them out.Just do a search for KTM superduke and you will find all kinds of stuff.A lot of duke parts fit many years might be cheaper to just buy a pair of used shrouds. One thing OEM ktm parts are not cheap.I have heard that some Ducati levers fit dukes and are cheaper from ducati than KTM.
I am amazied at the prices they are worse than Harley.Good luck
