Hi there,

Found some new mirrors for the SD, take a look at www.cyccon.com

The name is Stealth Aero, they have built-in led turn signals. They come in different colours, also SD black.
So the stock parts can be removed.

I'm going to order this week, think it will look awesome. Will post some pic's.

CU,

Marcel.
Nice mirrors, shame they don't do the indicator lenses in clear instead of orange.
Lenses are also available in clear, otherwise I wouldn't be interested.
Look forward to the photos, they will look cool with the clear lenses
I must be going blind. I can't see any called "Stealth Aero". What's the code number?

The 990 adventure ones are identical to the SD but are about 1 1/2 inches wider. Nip down your local dealer and have look to see if they are OK>

Ah... I may have to do that.... I need to borrow a lathe though!

.. its much easier to buy a set for $5 bucks! and easy is good for me - LOL
What say you experts about convex mirrors, you know, the ones that say "objects in the mirror are larger than they appear"?

I like the looks of the stock mirrors, I just wish I could see more. I don't want to use longer stems as I already find the mirrors getting bumped a lot in city parking. And, I like the look of the stock mirrors. I was just thinking a convex mirror might be the answer.
Yeah SiamJim,

I like them a lot... they use them on Ducati's.
I spend most of my time in front of cars so the distance is irrelevant

Although I have not driven in Singapore... but sometimes your traffic gets crappy. I guess you need to watch out for those 125 hoons or their CB400 hardcore riders who brake late

what about bar-end CRG mirrors? I've got a deposit down on an '07 SD, and now ride a Thruxton with the bar-end mirrors on it and they work great. The original mirrors didn't let me see much past my elbows, but the bar-end mirrors work really well, and look great on the Thruxton. How would they look on the SD?

Here they are (look a bit misty due to the flash and because I haven't washed it in a month )

Wow, Plipton, those are cool. That spot on the mirror is where I can usually only see my elbows anyway.

Never used bar end mirrors, I like the look of these....

Do these simply slide over the bar end and then tighten?
I have R+G Crash ones, would this cause a problem?

Cheers

Just recived my new Oberon bar end merrors mirrors in the post, cost about $240.00 AU shipped. Fotos in the accessories album.

Over all I'm a very happy camper, they look great and work why better then the standerd mirrors and the price seems quite reasonable. a link to Oberon's web site is in my previous post.

Cheers

Pete

New mirrors with LED turn signals. Powder coated aluminium. Way better than stock IMO.
