New Mojo Bellypan on SDR pics

I finally got my Mojo bellypan fitted to the SDR, and I have to say I'm impressed with the build quality, fit and looks.

The moulding wasn't perfect, but it's very well made with all the brackets required, no need for fabrication or dremelling, etc... I did have to add more heat reflective padding to the inside, as it was prefitted on the wrong side, but no big deal.

What I really like about it is that it looks like it was designed by KTM and you kinda don't really notice it... It simply tidies up the bottom of the bike - which always looked a little unfinished to me. Anyway, here are some early pics. Excuse the dirt. The rain today was unbelievable.

Cheers fellas. I'm really pleased with it. I'll take some proper pics on all sides after I've cleaned her up a bit and when there's better light - and with a proper camera instead of my iphone.

Cosmetically it finishes the bike of perfectly. The two big summer tests are: will it run hotter? (with less air around the headers) and will it touch down on track days? I suspect it'll be ok on both counts, as there's still plenty of space and cutaways for airflow, and the SDR is taller than the standard SD with stiffer suspenders, so grounding-out isn't usually a general issue like it can be on the standard bike, esp with heavy pilots.

I might also stick a decal or two on it, to please DucatiPete, as he likes that kinda thing.

I am looking for a bellypan to make my SDR race legal here in Japan.
Is it possible to keep the side stand and will it hold the oil enough to be legal.

I don't think I will actually race this bike but as a holder of a national roadracing licence it would be nice to join the licenced practises.

This belly pan has lot's of openings to allow for the akra downpipes, while keeping it's KTM-style looks, so it won't hold oil and is probably no good for racing. For a functional item used in racing try Skidmarx or Replicast.

It is a good looking piece. Grendel purchased one and had it shipped across the big pond. The problem with it is it weighs as much as the stock exhaust system Grendel shed himself of.

Hi guys, Mojo here.
Just catching up with the posts, been away from the forum for a while.
I'm pleased to hear good words about my belly pan, I now produce them with my brother, and i'm pleased to say we are now in a position to make the pans again (new workshop!)
They are all lovingly hand-made and therefore output is low.
Just to comment on the weight of the pan, it's meant to be sturdy, unlike flimsy vac formed mass produced ones.
I'm sure you would be pissed if it cracked from a stone or the like?
