Battle Bikes are all based on the 06 model as far as i've seen so far. (I've seen about 4 in the flesh, including 2 at Bracken and 2 at the KTM Centre in Hemel, all were 06 bikes being sold new with SDR tails and CF masks.)

Like this one.^^^

They all use 06 clocks (with orange surround) in an 07 style CF headlight with a wider top section... (It's the only ugly bit.)

Giveaways are the tank shape, clocks, metal heel plates, oval indies and pirelli OE tyres. They may also have grey wheels...?
If 05 and 06 bikes ARE quicker, does anyone know why?

My 07 has all the mods (Full Ti Akra, DNA, PC111, and a PDQ tune), but still "only" makes 115bhp and 71ft lbs torque (EEC) at the rear, whereas 06 SDs with slipons and a remap seem to make over 120?

Whassup?

Are the "upgrades" from 07 reversible, and do they include more than EFI control and restrictive pipes, cos if not then my bike should be as sorted as any 06.
The 'New improved' combustion chamber shape may be to blame. If so, you would need the heads from an early bike. Dunno why they don't make the power, apart from the heads it's the same engine. As for different fueling, that would make a diference, but a PC3 would sort it and it doesn't. Strange really because it's quite a big difference
i think the 05 one looks better than the 07 just my thought

Replaced my 06 for an 07 in April, I was fed up with filling up every 80 miles. Had 127 before reserve light lit on the 07.

I haven't noticed a difference in the power, fitted Evo's from 06 onto 07 with re-map. The thing has more mid range than the 06 & seems to wheelie better. Stability is improved with less head shaking on some fast high lean corners. Brakes are more powerful but with perhaps slightly less feel.

Fuelling is also improved at low speed but I think the Evo's are responsible for that.

Styling is a personal choice but I like either model (black obviously).

May put on an LSL damper.

I was sorry to hear about Dr F.
127 before the orange light of doom??
How the fook did you manage that??
I'm lucky to get 86-94 on mine before the baleful eye of the fuel gods starts to blind me with it's orange hue.
Oh, and BLACK '07 ones are better, 'cos it's MINE!!!!
MWAAAAA AHAHAAA AHHAAAAAA.

My '07 is set up with- DNA, Full Akra system, PC III, and a custom map. I do much of my hard riding at higher altitudes, so I had the map leaned out just a bit. It still runs great below 1000 ft elevation, but it also still runs strong at 10,000 ft. At home (aprox. 1300 ft), I'm getting a solid 111 HP on a Dynojet dyno.
I can thrash it and the fuel light will not come on before 120 miles, if I'm doing easy miles I'll get more than 140 miles before the light comes on. I'm very pleased with this new map!
And, no , it does not run hot. I live in the desert, and I'm very aware of the engine temp..
