Hey guys! I'm pretty new to this forum but i'm over here from supermotojunkie. I recently purchased a 08 SDR for $9600 OTD. Its awesome, havent had much of a chance to ride because i had to head back to afghanistan. Plans are Motobox, flies, sas removal, Fmf Slipons, and tuneecu along with sliders and be done. i'm about 190-200lbs with gear on. What weight rider is this suspension set up for? Anything else that needs to be done to this bike to get it sorted? I'm buying a full regular SD tail for long trips and taking the ball and chain out. What all is involved in the swappng of the tails? thanks guys, Here's some pics!ImageImageand my other rideImage
Bueller...Bueller...
was that 9600 new? If so, that was steal. I Dont have any specs on the R for suspension set up, but do a search. Many, many threads here about it.

As far as the tail conversion. I switch my standard to a solo seat (ironically to lose the ball and chain ) It is a bit of a job. Not hard, just time consuming. I believe a member here customized his SDR to make conversion back and forth a bit either. Try search on that too.
How fun with that new, as Johnny Cash would say, "Mo'chine"
200lb rider should be ok with the stock springs. wow that must be the last new SDR out there.
Yep Brand new. It came from Cambridge MN. I know another guy on this board was looking at it at the same time.
Just done a seat conversion on my 07 SDR, ALL that I brought was a seat , side panels and a new tail light.
The rest was stuff I made myself, bracket for tail light, lock catch and some spacers, not a hard job at all.
Brought some new electrical connectors so I can swap back and forth, takes about 10 minutes.
Once you have the dual seat I dont think you will be going back to the plank
