I just removed my catalytic converter and noticed this frame bolt hole on the right side of the bike. I called the dealer about it and was told that there's not supposed to be a bolt there. Can someone verify that it in fact is supposed to be as it is? It's tripping me out that there's nothing there!
No frame bolt on right side?

I think he might be hinting that you might try the search function.................
The tab is most likely a hanging point used when they finish coated the frames. Dont ever attempt to tap the hole in the case and tighten the tab against the engine case, there is too much movement at that point and you will damage something.
I have made a reference to this in my "how to" tread - re building a bellypan for the 1290. I ended up removing this tab when fitting my pan.
