Are V-Twins less hard on oil compared to I4's? I ask this mainly for trackday applications. Since I4's rev much higher than our Twins, wouldn't our oil last/stay fresher that a guys on an I4?

The guys on my trackday forum change their oil every second trackday (all run Jap bikes). I don't think this is necessary for me. Thoughts? After my next trackday I'll have about 1,300 miles on my oil, 1,300 miles includes two trackdays. My oil should be plenty good right?
I drop mine every 3k miles or 3 trackdays. Not sure it's totally necessary but I like to look after her and she has done over 41k miles now.
Once the motor is run in well, I really can't see the point of super frequent oil changes.

If you were running lower quality oil yes, the fully synth oil doesn't break down like older oils did.

Thought that the shear forces on a twin were higher than on a IL4 and that it had more to do with impurities in the oil than the oil itself.
