One year of SD ownership...

Well I’ve had my 09 Superduke for a year now, and I’ve done around 8000 miles on it and spent 6 days on track. I can honestly say it’s the best bike I’ve had, it makes me smile every time I ride it. Reliability has been good, it’s never actually failed to start although the clocks failed, and these were replaced without quibble under warranty.

Like most people on here I’ve modded the SD quite a bit, it was totally standard when I got it. I’ve stayed away from the bling mods and only added or changed things that make it better than it was!
I’ve only got one more thing to do to it, a custom map with Tune ECU next week for my Motobox and I’m done!

Here’s to another year of thrills!
Glad you are loving the SD. I've had mine now for 2 & 1/2 years and I still love it to bits! Can't resist ragging her every time I ride her
I have also had my bike for a year, and while it's been fun, I've never had more trouble with a bike. Had to replace water pump seal and starter torque gear thing... also had my carbonfiber tank crack while driving 80km/h, splashing fuel all over my clothes and the bike/engine..
But anyway, most kinks are gone, I just have to get the popping exhaust fixed

I toured it from Denmark to Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Italy, had a BLAST and lots of fun, a bit more fun than my old zx9r

Will keep the bike!

Chronologically, I've had my bike for a year and two months. But, if you count the time it spent with the shop, its actually been less than a year. I'm so glad she's sorted out now.
Can't believe I'm coming up to 4 years on the SD. The best bike I've ever owned. Done 23k miles in that time. Only issues Clutch slave cylinder failing and oil sight tube splitting....and of course the binding brakes every single fooking time there's salt on the road.
I bought mine new 2 and a half years ago and have done 4400 miles on it.

So far the oil sight tube leaked and was replaced,
Then the fuel pump failed,
Then the clocks were misting up,
Now the engines in bits cos it was burning megga amounts of oil!

Megga fun to ride though.
In May I'd will have owned superdukes for 6 years.

Sometimes in that time I've wanted to burn the bitch - but I still have one in the garage!
