#8I do alot of sitting it traffic during rush hour and you do end up using the clutch alot (in my opinion not really heavy to work with) but once you get out on that open road for a blast all of that fades into nothing!!!
This bike isnt at home in traffic - that i will say for sure, but at all other times you will not beat this bike for sheer fun!! (and that comes from one pissed off SD owner whos bikes been off the road for 2 weeks with running problems and still wouldnt swap it!!!!!!)

#14I ride a 2006 model everyday in city traffic (down the narrow and traffic jammed streets of Dublin)
The SD is great for nipping in and out of traffic. As said by others - snatchiness/surging mostly happens round the 3-4000 rpm at a stead throttle. It doesn't bother me at all and the 2008 model is supposed to be smoother.
I can't speak for the SpeedTriple but it does look like a cool bike!

#17Thanks guys. I found a black 08' and a deal I can live with. Dealer is getting one of his customers to bring his by next week to let me ride it. (must be a pretty cool guy, letting me ride his bike!). I'll be bringing my checkbook, so assuming the test ride goes well, I'll hopefully be posting pics of my new baby soon! Thanks for your help
