Try changing the gearing....16/40 turns it into a 0-60 missile...try keeping the front wheel down!!
16 on the front does the job! 140 top end but great fun getting there!!! ZX, R1, Fireblades they are all the same(bar the graphics )...............sewing machine sounding sh*te.
16 / 38 is good for 155MPH - however, if you find yourself at that speed, the GSXR1000 you've been chasing will now be doing 180 into the distance!
I'm guessing the good 0-60 (which is a pretty irrelevent stat for a bike) is a combination of decent linear low down power, and, against the fast bikes, a result of not having a overwhelming amount of BHP. It's easier to get off the line.

I often find the SD to be quicker out of slow corners than the IL4's. It's not because I have more torque - a GSXR has more, it's because the power delivery is "softer" and linear.

Above 120, aerodynamics come into play. Let's not dwell on those figures!
i would agree, 120+ the plastic sewing machines will outrun anything in a staight line . That is where the sd is a law on it's own 0-120 on twisty roads they'll eat your dust all day long unless your surname is Rossi! PS i don't endorse speeding of course as it aint big and it aint clever!

Never really understood this logic/approach. I love 'em both. different bikes make the world go 'round. Ride 'em all.
