Just wondering if you own both models and if you're willing to pull the fuel cap off the 1190 or 990 and see if it'll fit on the 1290?

#4Thanks for the quick reply guys! So question is does the ADV cap fit a RC8? not many manufacturers making quick release carbon fiber caps for the ADV lol.

As others have rightly said, the 990 and 1290 are miles different. Which is why I have a qr 990 fuel filler on the shelf in my garage...

Your "cap" looks impressively plastic for "billet" piece, but I don't know anyone who runs a sportbike, who is going to want a giant protruding knob for a fuel filler cap ... Maybe "the shit" for the DAKAR poseurs ... Then again, I fail to understand how people ride with some of these giant tank bags ...
Be patient folks - I'm sure Lightech will produce their goodies for the 1290R.

#11I don't want "billet" I want a TWM CF or equivalent, but seeing as the 1190 and 990 won't fit I'll have to practice some patients.
