Seen the new PB? "Build It" issue?
Some interesting stuff. PB have a test track laid out at Bruntingthorpe that they test all bikes on, more akin to roads than a race track.
Every bike they take round it gets fully datalogged for accurate data.
Here are some choice snippets :
Triumph Speed Triple Laptime 1 min 36.10 top speed 151.75
Aprilia Tuono Laptime 1 min 35.97 top speed 153.76
Ducati S4RS Laptime 1 min 35.81 top speed 154.19
KTM Superduke 1 min 32.60 top speed 154.42
So, we know that the SD will do a measured 154+, and that it's faster than a Tuono, ST and S4RS - but then we knew that already
What's really interesting is that the SD beats the 06 R1, ZX10 and Blade round the same track! Only the 06 GSXR1000 (1 min 32.19) and a tuned R1 with suspension mods (1 min 32.08) beat it.
Plus the SD is just so much more orange than those bikes
