In reality I only really get to the edge of my tyres on track days where you have the additional heat and grip to do so.

But if we're talking about body position I have to say and no offence intended, just an observation, that based on your knee down pictures on your gsxr that your upper body is too far over the bike with your arms still parrallel to your shoulders, causing it to be twisted instead of looking through your mirrors so to speak.

Of course road knee down is generally very different to track knee down, in that on the road I usually slide my ass all the way over to make up for the less heat in the tyres and less grippy road surfaces etc whereas on the track only one cheek is off, but getting knee down on the road is for nothing more than having a bit of fun as it's certainly not the safest place to be when rounding a corner and is not the fastest way to make quick direction changes if required due to the extra gorilla stylee required to do it.

I still go for good positioning on the road though as it does give you that extra margin of error if I'm going at a pace that it's useful but no way I'm riding as fast on the road as on track or trying to get off the edge of my tyres, and then in the right places where you can see thorugh the corner you might just find me hanging off and sparking my Ti sliders, although for the mst part I save it for night rides and roundabout surfing

I remember feeling like I could just chuck it about like an mx bike when I first got it, I knew the suspension wasn't fit for the job but just made me feel I could jump it off speed humps and the like.
i jump mine down a steep hill near my house...lol i do it now and again on the gsxr aswell for a laugh...i'll get a mate to take pics of me jumping the duke and gsxr, its not something you see everyday...lol
