#4Unfortunately we didnt have the suspension set up to carry a pillion when we picked the bike up on Saturday and the 130 miile ride home, over pretty bad roads, was not nice for my missus ! I believe the suspension was set as 'standard' which according to the deal means 'hard'! ! So if you don't want to give your pillion mega bum ache, try a few settings first cos it sounds like it definately needs setting up properly !

#6you will feel one click difference in set up on your own, but with a pillion you will ride differently, slower and more considered with more planning ahead.
Remember your braking distance will be drastically increased!!
I take my GF on the back every now and then, I dont make adjustments in the bike set up cos I ride MUCH slower and dont filter half as much as i do on my own. as such my GF prefers the softer ride too cos she's not used to riding a bike she finds the bumps harsh on her arse/coxix.
If I were you mate, I'd have some practise runs with your pillion....you will need to get used to the different weight as it tips into corners and it'll be good practise for your pillion too. You'll also have to practise VERY smooth throttle control and braking so you're not butting heads all the time!
"Progressive" is the watchword.
Sorry if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs here mate, but a long trip needs planning and I'd hate to see it go wrong for you.
