possible parting out of the SD

So since my beloved SD is totaled I'm going to inquire about buying it back. if they dont want much for it I will consider it but only if there is a demand for parts. so if anyone is interested in parts like an extra set of wheels for the track, or a swing arm, frame, motor, left side parts or the stock exhaust that i still have let me know what you want and what you would be willing to pay so I can make a decision. from what the mechanic says the tank only has minor scratches also. I haven't looked at it yet. when it was at my house it was covered in a lot of dirt and mud and i couldn't wash it with my cast. also remember i live in the US so all my friends across the pond are out on the big stuff.
Dibbs on the seat.
Keep. us posted on what they want for your bike. I think that you may want to think about putting it together for a track bike for yourself. You are obviously ready to take it to the track. the hit that you will take from crashing the next one will be twice as bad when the insurance company gets done with you. PM me the details. I hate to see you loose your bike. The reason they total so fast is in the labour to put it back together. I have some parts also so maybe we can frankenstien her back to life?
How You doing?
It is the labour thats a killer,, source the parts any where but the dealer, ebay, wherever,, and put it back together,,every crash looks bad , but yours ain't that bad,,, fixable in every way,,, fix it dude
if you part it out and the wheels are straight I'll probably take them, assuming they are true.
if you part it i'd be interested in the forks and front calipers, but it's fixable, i'd buy the wreck and repair it, you will come out way in front because bike shops quote full retail and new parts for everything, lots can be repaired and repainted leaving some items you have to buy but e-bay and the 4 sale section should be able to get you back on the road. and with the rest of your insurance payout you can buy a kickass hi fi!
