Potential Buy? HELP!

So I've been on the forums a while... Sold my SV650S end of last year and am now in new locale (Los Angeles).

Story: Want Superduke (ideal bike being a sports orientated bike that won't let me go TOO fast for TOO long but not limited whatsoever while having a decent tank range and ability to tour a bit; oh and orange is my favorite color), haven't test-ridden YET, worried about reliability and service, etc. As well as fuel mapping.. What should I consider as pros/cons?

Details: Theres a 2007 SD with 1500 miles at a dealership locally and they want $8500. I've gotta finance at this point in the game, so thoughts?

one bit you might have wrong you said you want a bike that WONT let you go to fast this bike will want to be thrashed
