Powder coating wheels or painting?

Getting close to my Orange SDR 1290 purchase and have seen a lot of nice prototypeesque Orange and White wheels jobs.Ive never had wheels painted or powder coated.Ive heard that powder coated wheels are less likely to chip.
And also thst cast wheels are safer to powder coat than forged
So can you share your experience of powder coating wheels or painting wheels with regards price(especially as the dukes Orange and White have two colours) longevity and durability.

just bought a take off front wheel
going to power coat orange to match the frame
should look sweet on my black beast.

paint would be easier to do two tone wheel
be prepared to pay a arm n leg to get it done.
