I took my 16 year old Son for a fang in the hills yesterday.

We stopped off at an Industrial Estate where he had his first ride on a
road bike.

Guess what? He loved it and he did well, not afraid to screw the throttle.
Only on the straight bits though.

I was as proud as punch and he loved it.

Now the trick is to keep him off it.

i've got 16 years and 3 months before i get to this stage..

although i was looking at a KTM 50 MX bike on Sat.. LOL...

would the wife kill me if i buy it before he's born i wonder ?

Congrats to you and your son - My Dad was in your position a couple years ago, let me go out in the C group on a track day - Bike, a (then) new VFR v-tec.

I binned it on my 3rd lap

(he sold it immediately and bought a fireblade, so maybe I did him a favour )
