D2Moto did the same thing to me ,kept my money for a month, guess that's the way they make payrole every week, Im changeing my orange bodywork to CF ,added a orange rad guard, and as my tank will be all black, added a orange gel seat, thought the screen would look right in orange, may get both to change out once in a while, how about some
black one-sided weather strip tape to tighten up the 1/4 gap??

I don't get it guys. The SD is a naked sports bike. That means it hasn't got a fairing or a big ugly touring screen. If you wanted a bike that protected you from wind blast and rain etc. why didn't you choose a bike that had a big ugly fairing in the first place?

I have to admit I've tried the KTM touring screen and another one, (Skidmarx), just out of interest and the difference on a long ride to neck and shoulders is not really that beneficial but the look is so bad that I couldn't live with them for more than a day.

I guess it's all a matter of taste really and historically in the USA you have often made your bikes ugly with big touring fairings. But as you embrace these European bikes - why not love them for what they are?

Before I get a load of criticism for having a go at Stateside fairing obsession here's some pics....... (The horrendous "Windjammer")

I agree the Multistrada is one of the ugliest bikes ever conceived. Piere Terblanche must have been having a very bad off day cos he also designed some lovely bikes - like the supermono.

And to be fair, Vetter designed some great bikes - the Triumph Hurricane and this one - the 'Mystery ship'. I had a poster of this on my wall when I was 14 or 15 and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Bidding on the same one I bet,, in CONN., ? wifey has this machine so full of crap it went down for a coulpe of hour's,, next time ,. ordered more CF from 2RT , to finish up a little more ,, the battery is a deffinite pos., may be doing the same,, where you pick it up? May be working up at Bryar park next weekend ,corner marshal for the supercarts, should be interesting , never done the cart's,. !

I was watching that one, but another one (NIB) popped up in Indy with a decent buy it now price, so I bought it. Oh, and I forgot. I bought a DNA filter from a dealer in Canada.

I'm deciding whether I want to buy & install O2 eliminators or wait for the map.

Follow up on the map.

I popped in the dealer yesterday to get a bolt (the paint shaker shook one of the fairing bolts loose). Got there just in time to see the service manager writing a nasty gram to KTM USA about the Akra map - or lack thereof. We'll see.

Thinking of that stuff down the road, for now it's the bling thing , got to get my sliders installed, need a stand, should just pick one up , my bro is a distrubutor for Pitt Bull, on the cheap,. the MIVV's and the download at my 600 mile, the only thing is the BOZO's at the shop I bought from, really don't think they can handle doing the download to get it right, another place the same distance the other way said they'ed do it and they have a dyno, the other guy's set the bike up quick and lousey, they put 50 psi in both tyres for gods sake!!!! think they were trying to set me up or what!
oh yea picked up some orange PRO-BOLTS, for the faring and such, may do the engine in titanium, haven't decided.,
what is the deal with the download thing anyway?

It fits the 07+ SDs and SDRs. They have four studs in the light housing that serve as the attachment points for the screen.

Ended up getting through Fay Myers Motorcycle World, think they still have more, I had contacted Puig direct in Spain, and they had said they were having trouble with thier plasticts supplier , nice screen ! will post some pic's when I figure it out , want to post my classic bike pic's, been digging through boxes , and many got wrecked, pissed me off ,

Hi guys,

Also bought this windscreen for me darling but got no screws or spacers to attach it with. I'm thinking of contacting PUIG and have them send me the correct screws and stuff needed.

Otherwise, if this wouldn't be possible, can someone please take some pictures and send me the dimensions and I'll get them myself.
