Pulled by the plod...

Well as the title suggests I got pulled over by the plod this evening. I must admit I was awfully nervous, as I'd been riding a little, "enthusiastically" prior to their appearance....
Anyway as it turned out I needn't have worried. They asked me to remove my lid...so I did and immediately told me they'd made a mistake and I was not what they were looking for. So presumably they were looking for a "known" individual, which I took to be bike thieving scum.
So...good for the plod. I hope they catch the bastard.
Isn't it nice when everything turns out well?
Damn... you've been very lucky

To be fair to the cops over here, I have been pulled 5 times on the SD. Twice took bollocking for riding like a hooligan but nothing more and the other times were just spot checks. Always got complemented on the bike though
They were probably looking for me !

A police officer can stop any vehicle on any public road to ascertain if they are the keeper, they have insurance and a driving licence under the Road Traffic Act 1986

Obviously they have a lot of SD's and KTM's used in crime your neck of the woods, I would stop KTM's all the time if I worked London way on, you can tell a scrotey shitbag by the way they look, guess you dont and also you stopped (which means you a good boy).
I'm totally fine with getting pulled in London because of the bike I'm riding. So many 990 KTMs get nicked here. I have literally had over 10 attempts on mine. The worst resulted in a new ignition barrel and the bike stranded miles from home. She is now in a garage and saver at night but they will try for it parked anywhere. So today it might be me getting pulled but tomorrow it could easily be some little thieving **** on mine or a m8s KTM. For the very reason if they say they pulled me because of the bike and to check if I'm legal owner, I will thank them for doing so. However if they then turn into little Hitlers and do me for my visor ect then it's some NWA, F*ck tha Police on my iPhone
We have a bit of a double standard down here. We dont want the old bill within a thousand miles of us when we ride but we want roadblocks and a helicopter up if ever our bike gets nicked.

I wouldnt mind a spot check or two as long as they were only interested in ensuring I hadnt just stolen the bike. And as long as they werent looking up the road pointing a speed camera. And as long as the next bike along wasnt some nazi traf pol on an unmarked camera bike.

If this gobberment are reducing police numbers by 10000 let us hope they get the right ones. Politician coppers more interested in worming their way up the management tree than actual crime prevention, civilian staff shining a chair with their fat arses and the slime of traffic division that ride unmarked camera bikes

With fuel at one pound thirty a gallon those of us that can afford to hoon around on road bikes should be seen as the saviours of the UK economy. Except Danno, greedy bastard banker, this whole mess was his fault
Yeah I get the arguments here for and against, but I felt the plods who pulled me over were perfectly reasonable. They were just making sure I wasn't a ligtfingered scroat and didn't give me any ball ache about "race cans", visors and so on - which they could have. So I'm with Klink on this one, I think we should let them get on with it, cos sooner or later they'll get lucky and stop a crook.
