What do you think?

CB1000R is out, the new monster is out.... aprilia attempts for futuristics hypermotards, street triples, V-twins in lots of versions and angles.... to be honest I am confused.... and scared

are we under attack?

The ducatis definately make a statement that is hard to argue with by eye.

I don't know why I have not owned one ever, I had been tempted but our

local dealer here was a putz and idiot, tried to buy 5 bikes from him it was

always a bitch to business with him so I did not want a relationship with

the only game in this town, having to face him was bad enough just on

inquirey only, much less an ongoing basis. .......... SHOCK

I had an S2R 1000 before the SD, and it felt like some kind of farm implement by comparison....plus it was in the shop not running for weeks 2-4 that I owned it. The 696 is a budget bike, not something to compete w/ the SD - it's much slower, and has lower grade suspension. I like the styling for the most part ex. for the alum. subframe, which looks like it was stolen off a Japanese budget bike.

The CB1000R looks totally bitchin', but it's still an I4, and willl likely be heavier plus use lower grade componentry.

Still, it's great to see more choices and attention in this segment of the market.

Stabak: Is that a TRUE photo of the 2008's? Many photoshops around....That's the aircooled motor....ONLY?

nevertheless
