Yours is postively proper compared to the brackets for my custom cans (not custom can co, just custom) I think other name brands have the same kind of fitting as you, mine has a curved stainless strip with a nut welded on the back on the exhaust end and just a hole at the other, they were held on by the rear bolt that holds the side panels on and drape over the subframe to end up pretty much the same place as the others next to the back of the tubes where the std exhaust goes.
I ordered an akra fitting kit as I did the SDR conversion which meant no more bolt for side panel as it was replaced with a 10mm threaded collet for the undertray and latch mechanism but it never turned up and so I ended up buying some decent drill bits and a vice and drilling out the fixing holes in my existing bracket to 10mm and that did the trick nicely just slipping it over the collet before fitting the spacers and latch, as a bonus it also took up 1-2mm of slack that was present so I may just leave it this way.
Akra kit is only about a fiver though so you may as well order one of those if you're thinking of something new, it clamps itself into the tube like a cycle headset does so little chance of it coming astray.
You could have mine but I might still decide to use it yet.
