Question regarding screens

Can anyone tell me if the screens off the newer R models (2011,2012) fit the 07 headlight? I assume they do.
Also the screen looks smaller (not so tall) as the Skidmark although that may be not be the case as I can't compare
a Skidmark. Is this shape what Skidmark call the flip-up screen?

If the latter model is less tall does anyone know the part number as I cant find a fiche for anything past 2009.

All the post '07 models have the same screen. Skidmark screen is wider and taller. There's also a KTM touring screen which is taller. I've had them all over the years but always returned to the standard small screen because it looks so much better. The KTM screen didn't seem to offer much better wind protection and looks ugly and the Skidmarks screen was not that well made in my opinion. Bit rough round the edges.

Like Bic says, all 07 and onwards screens are the same.

I put the KTM touring screen on last year briefly and was very disappointed (luckily didn't buy it - came with the bike). Thought it might have deflected the winter weather better but just focused them on my shoulders, neck and head.

been thinking about the touring screen , as i would like something to deflect the wind , up to 75 mph the wind is not a problem . 2 hours down the motorway ,not so good .
a question for those with a screen . if a touring screen is fitted ,the blast is then aiming at neck shoulders and head , if you tuck back a little ,head ducked down a bit .is the screen then effective enough.
normally riding a sports bike they are really only effective when you get really low . or have fitted a double bubble screen.

I believe that the taller "touring" screens deflect marginally more aire at best. My experiance is that they, the stock and KTM touring make little differance at any tucked or untucked position. My guess is that the flip on the top of stock screen creates something close to the height added to the touring. Your mileage may and probably will varie. No loose lackets on this bike above ninety three, they will slap you silly.

I've got the touring screen. You get head lift with the screen since it deflect wind right up into your face. I've gotten used to it, but debate getting the short screen. My bike came with the touring screen so I don't know how much better/worse the short screen is.

Save your money. The touring screen deflects very little air. It's really not worth the cost. I have both and the standard one looks so much better. Unless you tuck right behind the touring screen your still going to get a lot of wind buffering.

I was surprised to find the standard screen was only £11-something without VAT. I was looking at a carbon one before I realised how cheap it was.

so thats the end of my screen dilemma , think i will stick without one ,£11 quids for the standard one already fitted PLUS VAT. how much is a touring screen in the uk.?
would like to try a touring screen for a week . you know how good they are by how much wet gets on you after a quick cloud burst.
