Radiator Guard

As part of my winter referb project I want to smarten up the rad area as it's a bit scruffy at the moment. Don't fancy taking it off as from what I read draining and refilling the system invites a trapped air nightmare!!

Will probably spray it black in place and might also get a rad guard like this one

Does anybody here have any experience with this or good thoughts on visually improving the rad area.

Thanks

Draining, removing, respraying, refitting and refilling is pretty straightforward - have had a Cox race guard on since day one with no issues.

Comrade J: I've never had any problems with air either. I'd be inclined to take it off as in-situ spays look terrible and you can never get things really clean. Also IMO black guards look nicer than the aluminium look but that is just my opinion.
