Sorry mate, never done it.

Never taken my missus on the back and only ride with likeminded idiots these days.Never wanted them to hear me screaming and prefered to save up my critique until we stop at a cafe for bacon roll and piss taking.

Would love a PA system like they roll out at election time though so I can diss errant car drivers and slag other bikes as I overtake them.

I looked at it a couple of years ago. The best seemed like Starcom http://www.starcom1.com/therange.htm Or Scala Rider http://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider ... rider-solo There are cheaper alternatives but for sound quality and noise reduction I don't think these can be beat.

Yeah, got to say the scala rider does the job really well, I was a bit disappointed after I bought mine though when I found out I'd paid extra for a dual earpiece headset only to find out it wasn't actually stereo, only mono over two earpieces, don't know if this has changed on current models. With most newer satnavs coming with stereo bluetooth functionality I'd assumed that was what I was paying extra for.

People had no problem hearing me at 80mph on the motorway although you can't hear yourself so you end up talking louder and giving yourself a sore throat, not as much of a problem at lower speeds, shame it doesn't feedback your own voice a little into the headphones.

My best friend and I have Scala Rider Q2's. They work well. The latest version (Q4 I believe) looks to be 10 times better. But with Q2's we feel like old wives gabbing for hours while we ride. The bluetooth option is nice but I found it to be a PITA trying to connect to the phone and/or GPS everytime I got on the bike. The FM radio on the Q2 sucks as does the sound if you plug a music player in. You're better off using decent headphones and cranking up the Q2 to hear over the music.

Being able to talk to you buddy really makes for a better and safer trip. If one of you sees a hazard he can warn the other. You can talk about anything and everything while you ride instead of trying to regurgitate all the good moments when you stop. Also having the ability to laugh hysterically at your screaming friend because you just nailed a skunk while he was 10 feet off your rear wheel is priceless! The batteries last pretty much all day too.

Bluetooth is not an option, it's the entire technology that the headset runs on, it's the bluetooth that enable you to talk to the other headset not just for your phone or GPS connection.

I have my phone set to auto connect with my sat nav and my sat nav auto connects with my scala, same way as the scala can automatically connect to your buddies headset once initial connection is setup, no problems, I just get on the bike, switch on the sat nav, switch on the intercom and job done.
