It's quite disgusting what people will do for money.

How about this one?

This is from Mission Motorsports in Irvine (south of Los Angeles), California
do we have a price for what it will sell in the US?
Doowop, that price on the one I pictured is in Irvine, south of Los Angeles, CA. Their website states only 50 2009 RC8's will be coming to the US.

Santa Barbara Motorsports' (just north of Los Angeles, CA) website lists it at $19,498 and states the "first deposit gets first '09 - availability will be very limited."

I'm thinking the $20k range will be the norm. Somewhere in the Duc 1098S zone.

Don't bother - the VIN #s will be all wrong, and it will cost $$$ to make it work. There are 150 coming to the US, and they should all be here by now. List is $18,995 - for the '08s. There's no difference between the '08 & '09 bikes that will be here in March - the mark up is pure speculative greed - hoping some impatient wealthy dork will pay it just to have the first one in his club (of one). If you think the resale value of the SD is bad, wait until this time next year - a used RC8 will be $12k. Ooops, I've just piqued Joe's interest again......

I can't believe I'm saying this (cause I love my SD) but if the RC8 is about the same price as a 1098S then I'd pick the Ducati over the RC8 anyday of the week.
