#3Take them off Roger,as boing boing man says there was a theory that it could weaken the subframe if removed,but appears not to be the case..... always took mine off any bike ive owned just coz it looks better and the wife thinks im a shit rider so wont take the chance

#6Mine were torx bolts on my 06 model. I think the torx bit is in the tool kit. If not, i think it's size 30.

#11Yes they are just bolt on but the design acts as a brace to the two subframe spars....was a case where someones (dr f?) had theirs split and thought removing the brackets had weakened the frame

so hopefully this will all work out and I will have a vid of the 400 lb, pit bike with a through the top,, exhaust system, Uooh...lala
I am sure I will still stink so..... I am still looking for a spare stock header pipe to make a cut-and-out to the side pipe too....
maybe I will do them all a the same time to Make a fuming beast !!!

#21Yes, I read about that too. I find the cracking deal hard to believe though when the R is delivered without them...
