The tyre i removed was a pirreli diablo corsa and was pretty well chunked and ripped to pieces
i happened upon a michelin pilot road rear tyre and thought i would give it a shot
Unfortunately i went for my usual thursday night blast and found the bike seemed to want to wheelie a lot more than usual as if the tyre was giving me more grip than the softer pirreli
This ordinarily wouldnt be an issue but the handling doesnt quite inspire confidence when the front wheel wont bloody stay on the floor and i did find myself having a few oh shit moments when the front was lifting coming out of corners a bit enthusiastically
Should i try altering my suspension to cope with the extra mechanical grip or should i put a softer tyre back on to see if things go back to normal
Must say i was expecting less grip not more
I can only imagine that the soffter tyre was spinning up more and the rubber was moving around a bit
