Rear Vision Cameras Instead Of Mirrors

After looking through the thread on bar end mirrors ( which get in the way when lane splitting and mostly look crap ), I have been wondering if anybody has tried any of these rear vision camera and LCD screens. They seem to be mainly for reversing in cars and trucks but I'd like to know if they work well enough to be used instead of traditional mirrors.

This mob advertise these as suitable for bikes ?

I like the idea. But would you need a camera for either side? Or would a wide angle lense mounted on the rear of the bike allow you to see enough behind you?
I tried one on my aprilia RSV as the mirrors on there are absolute useless.

I found the camera works either wide so you see all angles but can't distinguish what it is (normal car cop car etc.) or works distance but doesn't give you enough angle.

Most of these cameras don't like vibrations neither so mounting one on the arse end of an SD should be interesting.

The one I had was easy to install as it was wireless in between camera and screen. Just put power to the screen, wire the camera on the rear light feed and all was ok.
