If you're trying to get your knee down, and you're leaning the bike over to the edge of the tyres, and, you're having your bum halfway off the seat... then...

... you're most likely pivoting around the tank and sticking your knee forward, rather than outwards. When starting out it does feel a bit funny to stick your knee out, the natural thing to do is to hang off and pivot around the tank sticking your knee out forward. If you can mount your bike steadily (I've used an Abba Superbike Stand before) you can practise in the garage.

Also make sure your inner foot is tippy-toeing and angled 90 degrees out on the peg instead of being "flat" on the peg.

Different pegs might help, but they're not the critical ingredient in getting your knee down.

Yeah, practise makes perfect. It's all in the hanging-off technique!

Have a look at this pic. My friend on the latter bike is hanging off like an orangutang! Bike's almost upright, and his knee is close to being lower than the bottom of the tyres.

He's so good at hanging off that he only needs a slight bend in the road to reach the ground with his knee.

Lap time is nothing, image is everything!

Get on more trackdays, as you build pace it comes naturally. Have you done Mallory? It really hard not to get your knee down on the hairpin.

You shouldn't need to ride like a gibbon too much..

I would say, in first instance, drop Tony an email. He has been very helpful, and I think the reason why he's mentioning refunds is because people asked him about it.
I think he did the fabrication and helped Ian with the engineering, so he may be able to help.
