That looks like loads of fun, too bad I don't have a dirt bike at the moment. The event being in hood river is a bonus. What a great little slice of paradise along the Columbia River. Great spot.

Man, you are so right on the Hood River area being a nice place. I have been doing the black dog dual sport since 1996.. Missed a few. Fantastic views of Mount Hood. In years past we would circle the Hood. Last few years we be going over into Washintion state.

I love taking trips to Canada. Been up north on a sport bike camping where the glacier water flows into the Artic, Pacific and Alantic oceans. Top of the world.

The border guards think americans all travel armed. They asked me about 5 times in different ways if I was carrring. I said ya, I have guns but they all are home. I was lucky e-nuf to have room for a camera on my 1986 600R Ninja. Now my trip 2 years to Yellowstone was a different story. Did the Lolo motorway by myself. Hear one large stick break as I was racked out at night. Had to be a elk or to break that size of a stick...now I lay me down to sleep....

You in B.C.? Sound like you know the Mount Hood area spot on.
Just noticed the XR400...had one of those tools....fun bike. Bought it new. Rode it so much I rubbed a hole thru the frame with my boot. Traded it in on the XR650R which I will use for the black dog.
