Ride Magazine want to do an article on SD's

Just recieved the following email from Ride magazine

Ladies and gentlemen, hello from RiDE Magazine.

Please excuse the group email, but it's the most efficient way of getting to lots of you at once.
I'm emailing you because you're on our books as being current or former owners of a KTM Superduke, and I'm hoping you can help us out with a big feature on this model. Doesn't matter if you sold it years ago ­ we'd still like to hear what you thought of it at the time.

If you want, I can send you a questionnaire to fill in (just reply to this email and I'll send it back by return), but otherwise please feel free to just waffle on in as much detail as you like about what it is/was like to live with the Superduke, running costs, problems, likes, dislikes, how many miles you covered, favourite tyres, servicing etc - every scrap of detail helps to make up the big picture.
If you could include your age, occupation, the exact model/year of the bike and the current mileage, that would help a lot. A bit of background on yourself and your riding experience would be handy too.

Speaking of pictures, please feel free to send a few, along with some bakground info if applicable, and we'll use as many as we can.

PS: Please feel free to forward this on to any other owners you know, and/or to post it on forums etc if you think it'll help ­ the more responses we get, the more acurate and representative the final feature will be, and perhaps unsurprisingly we haven't got all that many Superduke owners on our database.

Already have He said its proberly too late for the UK one, but might be able to do something on the Spanish one.

Sent em some pics naurally, and a few words and pointed them in direction of "model years what to know thread".

Used to buy ride but not for many years, informative but a bit geeky. I have not bought a bike mag for years.

To be honest I can think of few bikes less suited to an article in Ride magazine. Every time I have skimmed through Ride at the newsagent, I have long since given up buying it, it is full of dull worthy articles about commuter bikes, touring, best bikes for inexperienced riders, bargain buys and kit reviews. These days I usually slip it inside a porn magazine to save embarrassment.

Basically their niche is to take motorcycling, remove the excitement, enjoyment and naughtiness and give you what is left...a bit like my missus does with sex

Ride is all about making informed, considered decisions on worthy but dull bikes and worthy but dull kit. I dont think any of us made an informed or considered decision when we bought a Superduke. We wanted it because it grabbed us by the bollocks and then we joined this forum and Big Toby tried the same trick

Perhaps the magazine is changing? Kev Raymond is certainly an improvement over Tony, fat and dull, Foale as editor. However, I suspect a Superduke article is more about selling more of that issue to existing Superduke owners than selling Superduke ownership to their steady plodding, penny pinching, BMW evaluating, readership of accounts clerks from Boreham Wood.

Shame there isn't a SD magazine to expose to the rest of the biking world how boring their riding lives are.
