Road trip to le mans (france) some friendly local advice

Just got back from a road trip to le mans (france). First of all i heard great stories about the roads in france and i wasn't let down, smooth tarmac and hardly any traffic around, awesome

About 30 miles from le mans we hooked up with a french rider who was heading down to le mans too, and we pulled up in a small town for a break. Really good bloke and he gave us the low down on what and what not to do.

WORD OF WARNING for anyone going to france, if you exceed 130kph you wheels get taken away!!!!! to be honest until we met the french guy i think our average was way over 130kph. He also mentioned that its pretty safe to get on the gas in winding corners but as soon as you hit the straights keep it down.

With this in mind, our ride back was a more chilled affair, although we did step on it at certain safe points.

Adding to this, I had to do an installtion in london a few weeks ago and was up and down the M3/A3 into london a few times. I got pulled twice for speeding and was let off.

My job allows me to work from anywhere over the net so i am starting to look at property on the isle of man.

This speed thing is getting me down man.

Anyhow just some advice folks

If location really is up to you, and you want to go somewhere to enjoy your bike, I think you REALLY could do better than IOM.

I actually prefer north East Spain.

The speeding laws in Austria is pretty relaxed...
You can legally drive 100km/h on the normal roads between cities, where we in Denmark (and most of the German roads I've driven on) only are allowed to drive 80km/h.
And the fines aren't that bad either..
I got pulled over for doing 128 in a 80 zone. €100 ticket.
Would have been a lot worse here in Denmark. (In Norway you would have been shot and fed to the trolls!)

And Austria is awesome.. Spain is probably the same, and you could probably bribe your way out of everything down there.. hehe

I may be out of line here, but why would anyone suggest any other place other than California.
France, please, Austria, they may be able to get you bike parts quicker. The americas offer you a choice of tropics while never needing to leave the same highway. California is the place you want to be, Hell the interweb was invented in these parts and we show little net nutrallity in our dealings with others.

I like the idea of Spain, my Spanish will get me by after living in costa rica for 4 months. Also I have family in the uk, so would be good to hop a quick flight back for birthdays etc.

Any specific towns in northern Spain?

Wonder whether there is a further leniency to ktm in Austria?

Malaysia. Weather's great and the roads are better than you'd expect too. Speeding tix can be dealt with on the spot and cheap. I love it.

England is a cool place, however everything is so by the book and i am not used to it, i have lived in many a african country and i like their style, $$$ talks.

All i was looking for is a better experience on the SD, dont be so sensitive brother?

jajajaajajaja wouldnt speed in spain these days, 6 weeks ago i got fined, 126 kph in a 90 limit, middle of the mountain but hey, 2 points and €300 fine, 50% off if pay within 7 days.

limit is now 110kph reduced from 120kph excuse was to save fuel but they will keep it at tha now. here you start with 12 points on license and i got two free last year as never been done, so had 14 before the fine now back to 12.

Had a few of those situations, once I had to let the copper take the bike for a spin(not happy). The classic though was a 2l bottle of coke got me out a sticky situation. Couldn't believe it!!

The US was associated with England also but i do not think that the Falklands would be a good place to move for motorcycling pleasure. Enigma codes aside and the abacus as a computer still dont hold much water as to why a person should not live in California. I love this place and though I have not learned to fly here I would be hard pressed to imagine where you could get better cheese.
