so farewell guys and ride safe
DONT DO IT !!! thats the bike i sold after 6 mths to get a superduke, nice bike but boooorrriiiinnggg
Oh god, don't do it. Same as Skip.

If you want a bike that has no personality at all, that is it. I had one too, lasted 9 months before I got bored. Comfy and easy to ride but doesn't handle.

Oh well, if deposit is down. I suppose you'll make the best of it. They are pretty too!

See you back here, next year
Too bad you did not try the new RC8R .You get the speed you want. It's very duke like But it is a superbike.Very fast My friend has a CBR1000RR .My RC8R will out handle it and it's quicker. They really are a great bike. Good luck with your Honda they make a nice bike. I love a V twin that is as fast as any bike out there. It's a tough choice they are so many nice bikes out there to choose from.
Good Luck brother enjoy the new ride
Depends what you want from a bike
But Boring Boring Onda
uncle merv has one good bike 2 cylinders too many for me
You sold an SDR for THAT??? Are you mad!!!??

That thing is painfully underpowered. I liked it too until I found out it barely dynos 105hp!! What a snoozer. I thought Honda were putting a frickin Fireblade engine in that thing... not some heavily neutered parts-bin lump.

If it's some rear pegs you are missing, trade your bike for a SD. I have a SD and would trade ya.
It's your ride ...but care to tell us why the switch Honda? Good bikes.. I got one...XR650R sledge hammer..belly button bike...everybody has one.
man theyre dropping like flys as of late!
I know - I feel like I'm missing some important piece of information.
I think it's probably down to the imminent launch of the new superduke. Of course, with a new model, we have to consider the idea that ours will be devalued. Also, as guys, we are toy freaks and can not under estimate the power of gadget envy. The likes of the new Tuono with all the whistles and bells makes us think. I did. For a moment.
Makes me wonder too...but some people just like change...instant gradification and all that jazz.....Me, I stick with what I like for along time.....90K on my 92 ZX7R....86K on my 86 Ninja 600..Got to say I never really bonded with my Ducati ST4S. Still got it if you want to try it...Any takers?? I really liike my 08 SD and I can not see getting rid of it for any reason....yet.
With the new LC8 build coming to a shop near you next year, I will settle for the older, hand me down design as in the Adventure 990 to replace my 99 Triumph Tiger. I think / know there will be guys out there who will just have to have the latest technozootey thing they can put in thier man cave, and they will no longer need their pristine 2009+ 990 Adventure with all the latest bling bling. Got one? Come to Pa Pa, we shall have many miles of smiles

If I were going to sell my SD for another similar bike it would be an SDR or RC8.
As it is, I may just sell 2 of my bikes because I don't have time to ride them. Just not home enough to play with my toys.
I tried the Honda before I tried Superduke. The Honda felt slow and soft compared to my zx9r ninja, the suspension was mushy/soft and the bike felt so small and the seat was uncomfortable and I never felt one with the bike

It was a bit boring, the acceleration was to linear.. it's a great bike and has a good quality and build, but it was just not me
Why not an r1? Some good prices and defo not boring that for sure

The only thing i would say is that people are missing the point here a fireblade and r1 are all so common surly a Ktm is something u buy to be different and stand out from the crowd. I have still never seen another superduke on the road and only seen 1 rc8. Unless in some countries superduke is the bike of choice
I don't really think u could ever compare a Ktm to the blade. They are worlds apart
The SD has a fun factor together with comfy ergos that not many bikes possess. Shortly after the Yamaha FJR 1300 was launched to the acclaim of just about every bike mag, I got one thinking it will be the perfect bike, part sportbike rocket and very fast sport tourer. I sold it less than a year later. Fast yes, but heavy and hard to transition in the twisties, plus the ultimate sin BORING. Guys kept asking what was wrong with it and I didn't have an answer. There was just nothing right with it.
