I was talking to the Skip Barber guy over the weekend and it seems that they have some bikes they would like to sell. He actually asked me if I was interested in buying another one and asked how much I would pay for it. Didn't seem that he really cared too much about the price. My guess would be that they would go at a pretty good price. These are the bikes that are being used at Laguna for the riding school. Sadly, he didn't offer up any RC8s.
I say give 'em a call if they are convenient.
Rob,

Are they closing up or just not going to use the SD's? Maybe they will sell Randolph's bike
I don't know if you know about it but the school used to have the Duke, SD and RC8s. They have reduced the Duke to only about 2 or 3 and they increased the amount of SDs. My guess is that people don't want to pay $3k to ride a thumper around Laguna doing 3 minute laps. I wouldn't mind trying but I really would just want to hop on the RC8.
I think that they are just switching up emphasis on the bikes to SD and RC8s.
I will be checking with them in the fall about surplus RC8s.
I love racing the SD so much that I may just keep racing it and buy another class of bike to race in different groups.
Coming out to cheer us on this weekend or will you be racing?
So it's Dukes their selling, I would like to see Danny race one, was there a price? I'm sure I will be in the pits again on Sunday, saw you last time but you were busy but Mike said you are all pitting together. You wont see me racing, Im way to slow (ask Eric and Danny) to race and I have a young family that is not conducive to racing. I stick to track days and spectator duties. If I can get my times up I will take the NRS test, thats the goal right now.

See you Sunday, good luck!!

Brian
