Yay we're famous but preaching to the converted. Sometimes dont like reviews like this as I quite like the fact that the SD is a bit of a unknown quantity to the rest of the riding world. The other side of this is it helps with re-sale come time to upgrade. Used SD's are harder to get rid of than herpes here.
Interesting article perhaps the SD might become a "collector's item" in the U.S. as a result. I do hope that KTM exports the next generation of SD to the U.S. (with an RC8R motor).
I just picked up my 08 super duke about a month ago with only 2k miles on it for less than $8k. Friends of mine were like "dude, get a Japanese bike they are more reliable". My response was KTM won Dakar something like 10 years in a row now. You don't get any argument that KTM builds the most reliable dirt bikes, but no one thinks of them as being good street bikes since they are not in WSBK or MotoGP. Besides, super duke just looks cooler than any other bike on the street. You have to be crazy not to want one.
