SD Gone

Well guys, the SD went today, got the R1.

This is one of the best forums I've been a member of, have been a member on a few, ( bike and car).
I'll still be popping in from time to time, if u will still have me.
Might see a few of you guys around, coz will still go on ride outs with , Klink, Shade and bic. maybe not so much this year, coz got first baby due in just over 5 weeks.

Good luck mate. Be good to see you on the Finchy run one day when we are both a bit freer of babies. It just niggles me that this summer Klinky and Shade will be doing that run SO MANY TIMES and will know it SO MUCH BETTER - like they didn't have the advantage last year anyway!!! Talked to Klink yesterday though and he says there is a massive police presence out there at the moment so maybe we are the lucky ones at the moment. But I am seriously missing the time to ride - twins are very, very time consuming at present. And I'm so tired I feel like I'm on drugs and hungover and jetlagged all at the same time.

If you want to have a nappy changing party one weekend we could invite the boys over and they can have a go. Ha ha.

Did the Finchingfield run myself today and the CCTV Police van was in Finchingfield again but just sitting in the middle of town doing nothing My only thought was that perhaps they had another van somewhere before that I hadn't spotted and were working out average speeds?? If so I'm fooked Although the camera was pointing towards oncoming bikes and not number plates. Anyway I rode through and spanked it to Haverhill and back

The new headers and cans have made the bike mental up top. Just revs so much faster. A bad flat spot in the map from 3.5-5k but then it just goes insane Also the Evo cans seem to have a deeper tone to them. Very happy chap and once MrZ32 ships his velocity stacks she is off to HM Racing for a crazy TuneECU tune

As I rode the SD down to Bournemouth today, was surprising how crap it felt, coz it was standard.

As std it has SO much more power than a superduke!

Make sure you get the suspension set on this one!

Pete, i meand the SD felt crap standard, compared to when had the motobox,tuneecu, ti system etc

My first SD, back in 05 stayed stock for the first 11 months.

I only put the Akros on before I went to Spain the next year. I didn't ride it that much during that period as I was away a lot, rode enough on UK roads to remember how boring it is though, and a couple of TDs.

I'm glad I did that though as I really appreciated the changes and could evaluate their worth.

Now imagine you live in East London and are trying to appreciate changes and evaluate their worth on an 09 R1;

Changed the std cans to race exhausts. must be louder I can hardly hear the police sirens near my house.

Tried my new gearing changes on the A13. Bike was pulling much better until it collided with a cab. Driver said "Nice bike but I still aing goin saaarf of da river, caaaaaant"

This new gear indicator is great. It shows me when I am in first, when I am in second, back to first, oh look there is neutral, first, second, oh I am back home again.

Bought some rearsets, had to pay extra to get them powder coated candy pink to match my frame. Still I will look more sporty queuing for the start lights at Ripple road now.

Does anyone want to buy all my R1 bling. I had a bit of a mishap getting the sidestand down, bikes fault. I am trading in for a Zoomer scooter. Motoronin is selling me all his power parts it is going to be a rippahhh

Ronin is in full research mode with his Zoomer. A Yoshi on the way and who knows what else. Even though he bought it to try and save his licence don't be surprised to see a NOS powered Zoomer appearing in Norwich soon.
