#12you can 'soften' the SDR suspension for less money than what it'll cost to increase the HP/torque on a standard SD.

#14Here's my thinking, ... If I were 160lbs and had these roads I frequent, which are very rough...
the SDR would beat you to death unless you reworked the suspension for the task at hand.
I am 235 lbs and the SD's suspension and ride for me suits my style, I rarely do track days,
I ride 60+ miles to reach the twisty's and have a rough racetrack and public roads... I also want a new SDR but I know if I do get one to replace the 07 SD,
I will have to soften the seat and suspension to suit my taste, the view from the cockpit... from the pilots perspective on either is the same.
For me, it is how I feel after an all-day ride, if my neck hurts (like on a typical pretzel bike).... or my ass hurts for a day later, this won't work for me.

#15Had 07 SD and put 10K on her in 12 months.
Have 08 SDR 9 motnhs and 11K miles.
Have ridden 350 mile plus days in Arkansas on stock seat with no more problems than my sons and friends SD's.
Currently have soft Corbin. Looks nice, feels nice but after 350 mile plus days per day it was no better no worse than stock seat. Corbin makes a difference up to about 200 to 250 miles a day after that it is all the same.
As of today I would not trade SDR for new SD. Love the feel, love the ride.
SD, SDR, pizza and p-ssy. The worst I have ever had was just FANTASTIC!
Joe hope to see you soon! Head to the twisties on the 20th.

Part # 61107940000
They retail here in Australia for $370
But KTM-parts.com sell em for like $170 (USD)
Ive asked my dealer to get one in for me to have a look at. If it looks / feels ok, I'll buy one from the states and sell my ktm-twins seat.
