I kno there's a dedicated "videos" post under general topic, but I couldn't find a dedicated SD.net video thread...mods feel free to move this PRN

Vid from my chill ride today:
Very cool mate. Looks sweet
This is the only one I have of me on the track. They took my camera off me after this... I'll hide it better next time.
Pretty easy track to learn, but I'm really rusty.
The bike corners well, but I keep running wide and I feel my front is taking me there... Will find out when the track bike gets here.

That was the second fastest group of the day... I might go up next time, but I've had mates that were fast and I know I'm not.
It was packed because of the end of the year, you couldn't get a clean bit of track, 30 riders. Hard to find any rhythm
I'll try and get in later Lowrance, I know that there are seconds to gain if I can man up.
Only first session and 3rd day back.
They took my camera off because they have a no pictures policy.
I've learned my lesson and will not go out till the track is open.
I went out and a guy binned it on the warm down and I got stuck in front of the marshall...
"beep beep.. Duke coming through!!". Nice run! Would love to get my duke prepped for the track in the spring after seeing that!!

Look forward to your next video posting.
Those sports bike guys are in for a proper pasting.
Here you go Boney

looks like a pretty cool little track Boney
Thanks for that Linga. Yeah it's a pretty cool small track. Those two videos are from my second trackday ever, so I've got to branch out and do some larger tracks in the future. Nice track you're on. I like the elevation changes. Good riding also.
Here's one from Le Mans. I was injured for 4 months then bought my 2nd SD on the Saturday, on track on Tuesday.

Worth skipping ahead to 10 mins as there was a sighting lap and I follow some friends to get some footage of them.
First day at a little track at Collie 2.5 hrs SE of me.
I loved the track but my stand and gear lever scraping was giving me grief.

Street use of my SuperDuke

This is one of my fave vids.

Following Colonel_Klink round Bedford trackday, do apologise I never had the HD gopro and low sun due to being October time was not best but you get idea

Take 2...
This is Collie a short, bumpy and slippery track that I have decided is great!
My first day out and my best was 52.1, the lap record is 47.5 but I feel like I've got a bit more in me.
Orange shirts are the instructors.
Here a 1 lap vid of me a Snetterton in UK from last year. Intermediate group
A little clip from my first track day...I was cautious shall we say

http://vimeo.com/37361828
"when that light's flashing that means that you are now going" awesome

looks like fun. can't wait to get out to the track myself again. Tried clutchless upshifts?
When Duke of Wrath said that I knew it was the opening to the video.

Never tried clutch less up shifts. I thought it hurt the tranni unless you did it perfect??
It's pretty easy to clutchless upshift on the SD. At around 5-6K rpm put a little up pressure on the shifter, then throttle back a little and it will automatically shift up. Don't force it up because it will then rattle nasty. It works easiest out of 3 gear and up, 1 and 2nd I'm usually all over the clutch to keep revs up since it gets jumpy at low rpm.
Dog engagement trans. Clutchless up shifts are perfectly fine.Back off throttle slightly at any speed and shift up. Nice vid. Did you find someone backing out at Chuckwalla for April 20th?

Not sure but I think the that speedo is set to KPH. Fantastic looking roads. Never got down there while I was in the UK...really wanted to though.

Go Pro wide angle lense makes everything look narrower...except my fat arse

I will have to try it out. Sadly I can't do chuckwalla this time as they are all sold out

Thanks for the tips!

It's in KPH and the roads are two way. Camera I used is a sony camcorder( mini DV) with a bullit cam ( dog cam) attached to it with a 1.5 meter cable. I mount it on different places on my bike and my girlfriends bike (Speed triple 1050 15Th anniversary). Maybe next year I am going to buy a vhold camera.
You European guys and your tecno music... Enough is enough on that shit.
Country and western suits you better ???

merging this into the SD ride vids thread dude.
No techno, but just as annoying.

Sorry!

Vids from my keigwins track day a little while ago...look ma, no hands! First vid is an excerpt of just my mishap.

Leg and shoulder are nearly 100%!!!!!
I'm back on track!
Looks like a good SD track. Bumpy as fook though!

Finally broke down and bought my own GoPro Hero2.

Mounted on bar and took a quick blast up one of my favorites just to test out the postion before track day in November.

Here you go....

Video quality after uploading apprears to be shit...

That crackling on the audio sucks as well. Wonder if it's a bad mic or possibly a little RF interference from the coils?

Thanks for the tips.

The zooming in and out is not on the origianl video (which is a crystal clear 930p). I think Linga may be correct, I let Youtube provide a correction service.

I'll try another one later.

Just uploaded a trip from last month to some nice roads on the northern part of Israel.

TBH, it's a kinda boring 11+ min. video, not edited almost at all, just some cutting and pasting so I can clear up space.. BUT, these are some nice roads (especially from about 3:20 on..) and it was a very nice day so wanted to leave a memory.

Ok - Here's another boring video of myself from today.

2 notes:

1. This is one of Israel's sickest roads! The camera just doesn't do justice to the elevation changes!
The asphalt goes from very good to god it's slippery as ice at some points, mainly after the bus appears.. You can also see a slow almost-high-side a few seconds after..

2. The polarize filter is awesome! just comparing this video to the one above... worth every cent of the 10$!

Hey Shadow,

You've definitely got some good/quick riders over there...plenty on SDs. I'm sure someone on this forum would be glad to hook up with you for a ride...I would if I were there. I will probably be there late next year or early the year after. Maybe we can hook up for a track day or something.

Fazer,

Nice looking road (hopefully not too close to the west bank, hate to hear a felow SDer was getting shot at while trying to enjoy a nice road on a beautiful day). Can tell it's covered with sand and diesel....be careful out there! Any tracks you can ride over there?

First ride back since November at a tuning day for racers, had a good first day just getting up to speed and am already at last years pace.
Lifting the rear coming into corners, so will try backing off rebound 2 clicks to keep it settled.
Any thoughts on body position welcome.

Hey Linga, do you ever go to the drags out there? I think you passed this street triple like it was tied to a tree haha.
why is this triumph dude so proud of himself, he got trounced!
Some Spanish Andalusian roads. Local tarmac is so slippery here-and-there (roundabouts especially), so you instinctively drive like in wet everywhere...
Pretty cool vid, that guys sounds funny as!
Any time on a drag strip is fun!!
I'm definitely slow off the mark though... I think 10.7+ is my best time.
Good fun to use the V-twin on the track, everyone has loads of laughs
As always comments welcome.
Following a GSXR1000 at the local raceway, about 1 second slower than average pace at 65 second laps and didn't want to pass as I had crashed in the first session.

Just some raw footage of my first time ever going up this road.

There is a part 1 & a part 2.

I am still waiting for some music from a friend before I chop together a decent clip. Also just found my GoPro after moving house, so will start filming again.
Couple from Scotland tour last year. No wheelies or anything, but it's a beautiful part of the world..

...ah the A82 what a road ....A83O, A828, A85, A815, A83, A87, A886, A887 or the A816 or A861...........bump .......................nearly forgot all the shite weather....nearly as bad as we have been having down south
You just can't beat hammering around Scotland on a Superduke

Image
Sweet photos and vids... Makes me green, I miss hills and corners
iconic photo mate.....
Sooo....
Oops!

All sorts of excuses to be made but I just crashed it lol

Woah, that was a slapper, shame the other guy got tagged behind you, guess thats racing.

You OK? Bike OK?
Been up till midnight trying to get it ready for today. Just having a coffee and a few hours to go... Fingers crossed
I'm fine, the bike broke my fall, just a couple of bruises lol, I thought I'd saved it.... Nope
Love the way you still had the power on.

That vid deserves its own thread!

Good luck for tomoz.
That is unlucky m8. Had one of those on a dirt bike but never on the SD. How far was the damper turned up? I guess there are something even that can't stop.
Linga you tit I'll WhatsApp you later.

Bit keen on the gas champ, cracking effort there. I like how you leaped on the bike to protect its fall. If you gonna crash your baby at least slide off the track in a loving embrace. Shows just that extra cm out if line and it can go wrong. You get slides like that all race then that one just hooks up awkward and your goin surfing.

Klink, damper wouldn't do anything there dude, that was the rear that let go, then caught and pumped for and pushed the front.
I know... I had done all my turning and the two in front had boxed themselves and I tried to get on it... lol
I thought I saved it for a second but nope bitumen it was.
Damper was on full... These things don't need one though
I'm always very early to gas it on these things and have downloaded and watched this over and over again as I can always pin it there... In the slow mo...
Drifters had been there the night before and the white line(starting) was obscured and I hit it causing the sudden slip and grab....
Feel a lot better now lol
Jeez mate. What gear were you in and pulling wheelie going down to turn 7? It's a great stretch of blacktop eh. I binned an Audi S8 down that one. Long story.. Glad you're okay. Shame about the result.

Here's an awesome video of my boot from the weekend

Vid from this weekend! Still learning a bunch...funny how with shaving down a few seconds per lap since last year, I found myself being in the wrong gear exiting turns, losing power band. a work in progress i suppose
Nice little video that PBRnr. Like the shots with the sun behind you and the lens flare..
thx lawman!
Jermo, do u have stock shifter and r u making clutchless shifts? my clutchless shifts seem waayy less smooth,,,seems i back off on throttle a bit much but in trying to roll off less, the gears catch/clack jerking the rear and makes me cringe. all in technique i know
I use the reverse shift kit and try to give a little pressure on the peg before rolling of the throttle a bit until it falls in the next gear.
Feels smooth without much noise either. Bought the reverse shift kit because I've had some false neutrals when shifting normally in a rush or when I'm just lazy. Loved it on track though, especially the long and fast right-hander where the bike feels more stable when shifting.

Need to learn to use the track a bit more, especially for overtaking because I was stuck behind other riders for too long.
Great video PBnr, Love the soundtrack, Skrillex really get the heart rate up!
PBRnr, I'm riding THill labour day, see you out there maybe?
Alas, didn't manage to get time for a Thill-day this year but will be back at Sonoma for a Keigwin day in October. Have fun!
This is the race I crashed from the point of view of the Aprillia RSV4 that filmed the crash... Fun to see an SDR playing with the big bikes.
This is post whoring, but man I miss this bike!!!

not an sd but my rc8r.

Make a shameless mockery of a recent movie I watched? Why not...

Nice video!
