SD test ride

Gonna have a wee shot on a SD tomorrow (if weathers right). Its a R Im after but I've never been on a Duke before and Im wondering if a run on a SD will give me an idea of what the bike is like. I would go for a shot on a R but nearest one is over 100 miles away, where as this ones just 20 away so not a waste of time if it sucks...

If/when I do buy it'll be a 08 onwards R. Test ride will be on a SD 2006/56. Thoughts...

R has harder seat and harder suspension and "some say" more sensitive / maybe even "snatchy" throttle.

To me the R doesn't seem as smooth as the standard SD.
