SD without local dealer: would you?

I'm still here guys. Going on two years, and I still don't have an SD. I can't seem to bring myself to sell my SE, even though I mostly ride it on the street.

Besides the versatility of the SE, one of the things that had kept me off the SD is the FI, and the fact that the closest KTM dealer that I would allow to touch my bike is two hours away. I do all my own wrenching on the SE; carbs make that pretty easy, with everything else being about the same as the SD.

I see a lot of posts about re-maps, and it seems like, for some of you, it takes a while to get it right. I don't want to make a bunch of trips to a dealer two hours away for re-maps. But, the fever is taking me. The SE and SD are the only two bikes on the market that really push my moto-lust buttons.

If you could perform all your service at home, except for FI tuning, would not having a trusted local dealer keep you off the SD?
