SDR rear sprocket change

Hi guys.

I was looking for some insight on changing the rear sprocket.
I am contemplating the addition of one or maybe even two teeth.

I don't know if it's the engine itself that does not like low revs or if it's the actual stock gearing that is too high, but the bike does struggle a little bellow 3k.
I mean, sometimes it's ridiculous when at an intersection I have to either modulate the clutch in second gear or go down to first gear.
Either way, lower gearing should help.

I will probably install open cans and the akra map, I suppose it will help in this regard as well.
Still, I would like to hear the your opinions on the gearing mod.

Thanks in advance

P.S.
On a side note, people who have actually done this, did you notice any difference in throttle abruptness (for the worse)?
