SDR Tail Conversion Complete

Well, I've got a shit load of extra bolts, and extra pieces. Most of the leftover stuff, their part numbers were no where to be found in the instructions, only in the list that lists all the hardware in the kit. Everything fit good, with no loose body pieces. I followed the instructions to the T, I nailed every part number that they told me to put on? They must give you extra shit that you don't need? I did have to run out and buy some washers for mounting the rear latch bracket to the subframe. The bolts were too long that they said to install. I did see some "special spacers" at the bottom of the box, that I was probably supposed to use. But then I was never instructed to do so.

One shitty thing, my R&G tidy tail doesn't match up with my license plate, I'm going to have to cut my damn plate. Not happy about that.

Yeah for some reason they give you all the bolts etc in whatever bag quantities they normally come in so loads left over but pretty handy for spares.

Should have been some cotton reel type things to go under the latch bracket over the top of the ones that come up through the undertray if that's what you mean.

So overall, how difficult was it to put on? I'm about to pull the trigger on the same kit.

This is a mod that I'll be looking at if/when I start wanting a change/get bored of the SD. (that and possibly adding a MH/DNA Box)

Looks great!!! So here's my final question: How does it sit? I'm not concerned about the firmness of the seat itself, but am more curious to see how much thinner it is, width wise, as you get close to the tank. That is the main thing that I'd be looking for in making the transition to the R seat. I hate the way the standard seat forces my legs to bow out.

It sits great for me. I like the harder seat. You can move your ass around a bit easier. I'm using the 17mm seat raisers, but my feet still flat foot. With the SD seat I would be on my toes just a tiny bit. But the biggest change is the width. The SDR seat is a lot more narrow (which you want). Thus why I can flat foot it w even the raisers. I recommend the SDR seat.

Another thing to note. The kit comes with washers so you can shim the seat, ie...jack the back up, push up the front, what ever you would like. I haven't messed with that yet.
